What size of desiccant bag does it use? Recommend using 1.77*2.2in desiccant bags and changing them every month.

Are batteries necessary? What battery specifications are required? The feeder does not come with batteries, so you will need to prepare three D-cell batteries as backup power in case of a power failure. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Are the portion sizes configurable? Each portion size is 5g, which is about 1/24 cup. You can set up to 30 portions. For example, for a meal of 1/8 cup, you would choose F-3 when setting up the feeder.

How many days can it be programmed for? Once the number of feedings per day and portion size are programmed, the feeder will continue to dispense daily. You can set up to 6 meals a day.
